Meat for the Hungry

“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became [God’s] sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.” [1]   Thanksgiving is over, and C h r i s t m a s , the time of p e a c e and g o o d w i l l , is fast approaching. But our world is in turmoil, especially the land of Israel.   For 75 years now, the descendants of Jacob/Israel have been back in their own land, yet this exceedingly great army remains in unbelief, blinded in part, to this very day. [2] And while it may seem highly unfair, it’s all part of God’s grand design.   How so? If you believe the Bible, there’s no doubt Israel is God’s chosen, and they belong in the Land of Promise. God Himself watches over them and as He does, He neither slumbers nor sleeps. We also know those who bless Israel, God will bless. [3] But what’s more, in the fullness of time, the O n e prophesied in the Garden of Eden, whose b i r t h we c e l e b r a t e this month, was ...

“Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”  [1]   Israel’s war is growing, and many Israelis say it hasn’t yet begun. Still, the war prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39 seems to be on everyone’s mind.   However, leading up to Ezekiel prophesying, “‘Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal,’” the Almighty provided this prophet with visions of Israel’s future blessing—the first, dry bones, the second, two sticks. And, both prophecies spoke of the same event: the people of Judah and Israel united again and back in the Land promised to them by God Most High.   God commanded Ezekiel, a priest of Judah captive in Babylon because of Judah’s sin, to prophesy to dry bones , and when he did, stages of life appeared.
