JOY

Image
It's official. There's a new sheriff in town, and the outlaws…well…they are a-runnin'!   Many of us prayed so hard for this, and joy fills our hearts. We know the LORD said yes. But even if He had said no like He did four years ago, that does not change His sovereignty for the Almighty Triune God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [1]   His changelessness diminishes fear and allows true believers to have unspeakable joy no matter the condition of our lives or the situations in our world. [2] Why? Joy comes from within our soul since we are filled with God's Spirit. Joy transcends the things we see and experience because God Most High is on His throne, and He loves us with an everlasting love. He is in total control, orchestrating events in our lives and on Earth, whether trials to refine us or gifts to bring us joy and Him glory. [3] We, above all, know how God works things around for the good of those who love Him. [4] So...

Let Those FIERY Darts Fly!

http://www.ingodsimage.com/2017/06/the-flaming-arrows-of-the-evil-one/ Have you noticed how many lies pelt us every day? Lies our ears hear and lies only our heart hears.   Especially now with social media. Mean-spirited people often type something they would never say to our faces, yet we take them to heart and believe the lie.   But sometimes, even lovely comments can be a snag. Though they may be true about our talent or appearance, the enemy of our soul could use them to puff us up with pride. [1] We start to think we are the originator of our looks or abilities instead of our Creator. And on the flip side, these so-called praises could be meant as flattery—someone’s veiled attempt to take us down because of jealousy.   Still, many other lies concerning the world and life, in general, strike when we least expect it. So, we must be watchful, cautious, and on guard against spoken, written, or implied words . But why?   Words affect our spirit. S...

Good OR Bad News?

“I have good news and bad news. Which do you want first?”   Maybe you’re thinking, “I only want good news. I’m tired of the bad.” I fully understand. So, here's my good news:  God gave us the bad news first. What?   Yes, Almighty God established a LAW —man broke it— SIN entered the world and brought a penalty— DEATH —both physical and spiritual. Physical bodies age and eventually return to dust. For Adam, that took 930 years. However, his spiritual death—separation from this Holy God—began immediately. Isaiah 59:2 says, “But your iniquities have separated you from your God ; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.”   That’s a lot of bad news. And  I know you’ve heard it all before. But please stick with me. I do have a point. You see, if there were no good news to follow the bad, we would be doomed and rightly proclaim, “…Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” [1]   Thankfully, God followed H...

Blessed Are Your Eyes

Ignorance is bliss. What do I mean? Well, my eyes see so much corruption in our world, and I wish I could return to a time when I didn’t see it. A time of innocence when I walked around with rose-colored glasses thinking we all had a bright and rosy future.   But those days are long past, and my eyes do see.   Still, not all see what I see. So, why can’t many see our overreaching government preparing us to accept Antichrist and his mark? Do I see these things because I’m a fanatic—too focused on Bible prophecy and not enough on the love of Jesus? Maybe, but then again, maybe not.   As Jesus walked this earth, He spoke in parables. [1] When His disciples asked Him why, He answered, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given . For whoever has, to him more will be given , and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore, I speak ...
