Meat for the Hungry

  Here we are at the beginning of a new year, some blanketed with snow and ice as they are every winter. In my lifetime, I’ve seen milder winters and some that are fierce, but all in all, things have stayed the same . The earth God created has been going through cycles since the worldwide flood of Noah’s day. And even though we hear experts warn of global warming, nothing really has changed, except the fear and lies the climate-change propagandists spew.   You might remember when these fear-mongers blasted out news of a tear in the ozone layer and another ice age. When that didn’t work, they changed their story to global warming. Many Creation scientists strongly disagree. So, don’t buy into this ploy of the “elites.” They want us common folks, whom they deem “useless eaters,” to live in fear because that way, we’re easier to control.   However, true believers in Jesus Christ know this is not our home. Summer transitioning to fall gives me much more difficulty than any other seasonal change. I mean, winter to spring is a roller-coaster ride. I’m up when the air has warmed, but down when the skies darken and snow flurries return. Still, I know magnificent spring is only days away. Spring to summer is exciting and much easier. The warm weather just gets warmer. I bask the beauty of God’s handiwork enjoying intense sunlight and longer days. Fall to winter also doesn’t seem to affect me as much. I’ve already become accustomed to less daylight and cooler temps and, of course, holiday anticipation keeps me in high spirits. Nevertheless, when the shorter, gray days of fall appear, I feel gloomy and down. I become very introspective, thinking things need to change in my life, but not sure what or how they should change. I know my calendar says spring, but I haven’t yet seen enough sunshine, to blast away those winter blues. Where, oh where, is the green ? Hey, did you ever say or write a word that instantly sparks a memory? For me, just typing the word “ green ” brought one to mind. It reminded me of the Wordless Book. Now, this is not the message I had planned to write, but do any of you know what I mean?
