Ghouls, goblins, witches, ghosts, 10-12-foot skeleton sculptures, and other representations of the spirit of darkness adorn stores and homes. Each year, the displays seem bigger and a little more fiendish.   As a true believer in Jesus Christ, I find this disturbing. Some say I’m ridiculous because, to them, it’s all in fun. Yet, in that case, I’d have to ask why. Hell is real. Satan is real. Why does anyone feel the need to celebrate spiritual wickedness and the evils of Satan?   Still, all this is overt evil—something evident and obvious—all around us through September and October. We know it’s coming, so we can brace for it. But I think it’s also Satan’s way of distracting us and keeping our minds off the covert or hidden evil he’s perpetrating. What do I mean?
