Seventeen Days of Prayer - Day Seven - January 10, 2021

DAY SEVEN:

“Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!

“…Stir up Your strength and come and save us! Restore us, O God; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

“O LORD God of hosts, how long will You be angry against the prayer of Your people…[because]…our enemies laugh…

“Restore us, O God of hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

We, Lord, are a nation that You planted. You prepared room for us and caused us to take deep root so that we filled this land. But now, You have broken down our hedge, and evil has overtaken us.”[1] Jesus, please deliver us from evil.

Almighty God, intervene in our country and STOP this evil. Many wolves have surrounded President Trump, and they desire to tear, to shed blood, and destroy him and the rest of Your flock to get dishonest gain.[2]

Place your hedge of protection around him and lead him out in honor as the wicked Haman lead Mordecai. Let him ride on the king’s horse, wearing Your royal robe and a crown. Compel the enemy to proclaim as he parades President Trump through the city, “Thus shall it be done to the man whom the King delights to honor!”[3]

Lord Jesus, please do this for this man who has honored You. He was the one who proclaimed Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel when no other president would. He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and at the White House publicly proclaimed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We understand You have sent us out as lambs among wolves, and these savage wolves have come in among us, not sparing Your flock.[4]

These wolves who are after President Trump have slowly, but methodically, stripped away our freedoms, and we, Your church, have not seen it until now.

Forgive us, O Lord our God, for allowing the enemy to blind us to his evil. Help us, Lord, to stand firm against him and those he controls.

Let us not fear them who can kill the body yet cannot kill the soul. But rather, fear You only, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.[5]

Holy Spirit, light a fire under Your prayer warriors. Hear and act upon our humble request. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and desire to please You with our every thought, word, and deed.

In the wonderful name of Jesus, our Lord, we pray, Amen and amen.
