AMERICA 250 – TEN Days of PRAYER – Day Five

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”[1]
Holy, holy, holy LORD, I am at a loss as to how to pray for America today. But
when I asked, I felt You led me to pray specifically for our President,
Vice-President, Secretary of War, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
and all our military. These are the men You chose to be in power at this time
in history, and to be Your servants as Cyrus the Great was Your servant.[2] Please give them wisdom,
clarity, discernment, eyes to see You and the path forward, ears to hear Your
voice, and hearts to understand Your will and how You want it carried out. Save
our Republic, LORD God, for only You can.
Father, while domestic issues
at home are on the rise, the Iran war is again taking its toll. These wonderful
men You have placed in America’s highest
offices do not understand the type of people they are dealing with in Iran.
Muslims claim Ishmael, Abram or Abraham’s first son by Hagar, the handmaid. Ishmael
was the son of his own doing—the son of Abraham’s flesh.[3] Ishmael was not the
one You chose to be Your servant. You, O LORD, provided and
chose Isaac, Abraham’s second son by Sarai or Sarah. Isaac was the father of Jacob, who was renamed Israel.[4]
In the wilderness
where Sarah’s Egyptian handmaid fled, You met her there because You heard her
cry. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for showing us this precedent! You named her son—Ishmael—and
then You told her what kind of man he would be. You said Ishmael would be a wild
man, that his hand would be against every man, and every man’s hand would be
against him. But You also said he would dwell in the presence of his brethren.[5]
Whether Muslim’s
are the physical descendants of Ishmael or if they only possess his
characteristics by osmosis, LORD, they will never stop their evil unless
they come to know You, the One True and Living God—Yahweh—The I AM WHO I AM—Who
is Three-in-One. But Jesus Christ, God the Son, became flesh so He could die
for the sin of the whole world, past, present, and future. Unless they see You
in Your creation, Your invisible attributes, which You made clear, Your eternal
power and Godhead, they will be without excuse. Their end will be hell and the
lake of fire.[6]
Help Muslims to
escape the lies of their god, Satan, and come to know Jesus personally. Help
them to accept You, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior. Almighty God, You are
their only hope.
