Please join me for ten days of praying for ALL of
America, ending on July 4th, our 250th Birthday.
But as you pray, examine yourself, and make this a personal prayer.
Heavenly Father,
As I sit here in the wee hours of the morning, afternoon, or evening, I seek Your face on behalf of myself, my community, my state, and my nation.
LORD, I know since sin entered the world, we all have been born with a sin nature inherited from Adam, and we cannot cleanse ourselves of it.[1] I have sinned, fallen very short of Your glory,[2] and this moment, I repent.[3] Have mercy on me, O LORD, the chief of sinners.[4] Forgive me, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness according to Your Holy Word.[5]
On my own, God Most High, I have no right to enter Your presence. But because You chose me in Jesus before You laid the foundation of the world, by the blood of JESUS CHRIST, my LORD, my Savior, my ALL in ALL, I can enter Your presence.[6]
So, this moment, I enter boldly, bow before Your throne, and present my requests. I am confident You will hear, for You are El Roi, the God-Who-Sees.[7] And because You see me, You hear all. For “the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”[8]
Thank You, LORD God Almighty. Help me to live for You, to serve You with a whole heart all the days of my life, to glorify You with every thought, word, and deed.[9] And to spread Your Gospel, the message of Jesus Christ, God the Son, becoming flesh so He could die for my sin and the sins of the whole world.[10]
Sovereign King of the universe, THANK YOU for our nation and each state. Help America, its president, vice-president, their cabinet, Congress, all our military, I.C.E. Agents, police, first responders, every state and community, the governors, legislators, local officials, and ALL citizens. Forgive our sin, LORD. Forgive us for taking You and this Land for granted. Give us Your wisdom and protection as we proceed and occupy—doing business—until You, Jesus, come.[11]
LORD, we need Your
wisdom and peace for the decisions we make and the actions we take from this
day forward. “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is
in heaven.”[12] In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
